Episodes and Commercial Interruptions by Dolan Morgan and Joe DeLuca

Episodes and Commercial Interruptions is a collection of works by Brooklyn-based poets and longtime friends Dolan Morgan and Joe DeLuca. Morgan’s "Episodes" are constructed using language from the second season of AMC's Mad Men while DeLuca's "Commercial Interruptions" pit advertising and products against intimacy and people. The fusion of these works structurally mimics the classic experience of watching television in a binge of distraction and emotion, but the pieces offer in content something slightly more, and—in contrast to each other—something new.
